Lessons from Leaders Today&Tomorrow

1.The world wants you to remain stupid.

The dumber you are, the easier to sell you products and services. TV's diagonal size is inversely proportional to IQ.

2.Do not need to believe blindly in the educational system.

Curriculum is outdated in the first day of your studying. (Exception - Fundamental programs, but only in the exact sciences, the purpose of fundamental knowledge application in everyday life remains open.)

3. Read non-stop, read as much as possible.

You never know when you'll need new knowledge and concepts, but you'll be much better prepared for life's surprises.

4. Learn how to communicate with others.

Avoiding people, considering them unworthy of communication with you - means not to find customers, friends, or job in the future.

5. Be shy - is a waste of time. Do not let emotions control your decision-making processes.

6. If something is unpleasant for you in relations with another person - this "something" can cause a break between you.

7. Communicate more, with people older than you. Try to understand their system of values, their vision and logical links between environment, and decisions they make.

8. Try to find people, who can be an example to follow, and try to outdo them.

9. Eventually, people become more conservative. If you want to do something risky, do it while young. Long time ago I came to conclusion that the reformism is a consequence of lack of knowledge than presence of focus.

10. Do not waste money on the small stuff: save them for something serious (including a start-up).That also will teach you to spend money in business: with benefit and for the sake of purpose.

11. When choose between spending money on stuff or impressions, choose impressions. The pleasure of impressions and memories is more valuable.

12. Once you have learned to save, learn to earn.

13. Learn Programming

Easier to make a prototype yourself, than waste time and money for explaining it to someone else. Don’t want to program – learn any handycraft, to be able to produce something useful.

14. Do not gain weight when young. This will diminish your active life for 10-20 years.

15. Learn to cook. It is the best time to think about something - when you cut the ingredients for a salad or soup.

16. Get enough sleep at night. Lack of sleep, greatly affects on the quality of decision making.

17. Make “To do” list. Because your memory is not enough, no matter how fantastic it is.

18. You should have a big dream. It’s good to be flexible, butwithout a dream your life may turn into running circles.

19. Become an expert in your own area, before switching it to another one. Both the rule 10000 hours as well as the fact that a good boss has to be a good specialist in the past matter.

20. Do not try to rectify people. Look for somebody who is not immoralized.

Bonus:

Try to learn 2-3 foreing langusges. Knowing a foreign languageallow not only tounderstand culture and different poins of view, but also their life values.

Learn to speak polite and to write grammaticaly correct. During the communication with customers, ability to speak fluently and professionaly will be usefull while informing them about company’s point of view and people management.

Learn ethically compete in the relevant areas of your life.Life - a very competitive thing, and inability to compete reduce your chances of changing your position and social status.
